Hi All,

Just been ripping out the old bathroom for a full rebuild (floor, ceiling, walls, the lot).

While pulling away the old tiles most of the thistle plaster has come away too, leaving the sand and cement scratch render.

Can I just prime and tile directly to the render base, or is there something else I need to be doing?

Cheers for any advice.

yes you can tile onto render but.
is it well fixed to its background
is it dry, no penetratin damp
is it flat an plumb?
do inside corners meet at a true ninty degrees?

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, it's all pretty sound, solid and dry, just a few 'dings' from the SDS taking off the tiles.

Which primer would be recommended?
