Tiling Queries

The cowboy who did my disastrous bathroom refit knocked off about 10 tiles round my bath and above the sink. I don't have the bathroom fully tiled. I have given up hope of finding the tiles to match and now think I'll have to retile. Query: would I need to remove all the other tiles or could a tiler fill in the gaps and tile on top? What about the edges ie two tiles thick - would that look obvious or can they cover it with beading or something?

Yes you can tile over the old tiles providing it's grease free and there's are many type of beading for your need.

Drilling some holes in the old tiles will help the adhesive to grip as well.

Is there a name or code on the back of the tile?

Don't think there's a code, just says made in Uraquay! They came from B&Q about 9 years ago, pity cause they are still fashionable - white with a grey marble effect.

Have you tried the proper tiles shop and not the diy shed?
