Hello everybody,

I'm trying to tile round a shower fitting, and want to know the bext way to go about it. It works out that I use a whole tile but I've got to cut a fair bit out of it, which is proving a nightmare. Shall I split a tile in two and try and mask the join?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

a picture would be better mate,so we can see and advise correctly, just try and make yourself a cardboard template the size of your tile and cut out of the template until you achieve the correct shape, then transfer it to the tile then cut it out

The shower should have been replaced.

it would've been about £70 for a new bar style valve, you could've got the pipe work done, tiled then fitted the valve after tiling. Now you are stuffed.

I've done it now thanks. Don't think I like the idea of being stuffed.
