First of all, Hello all.
As you might've noticed I am new here! I've gone through the stickies but I haven't been able to find a hint on how to solve my problem (I am not a native english speaker so I believe I might not be understanding some of the things I read).

Some days ago I noticed the Shower waste pipe was severly clogged, I tried all sorts of things and ended up taking out the small wall under the shower tray in order to reach the pipe itself. In the end I had a plumber come and unclog it properly.

Now I find myself with an open space beneath the shower. Before, it basically consisted of two big pieces of wood, then plaster (or some other material whose name I do not know) around it and some tiles layed out.

Here are some images:

I'm thinking of having the bathroom renewed by professionals but in the mean time I'd like to fix this myself. I need to make sure the shower door is "sealed" to the tray so that it does not leak...

Could anyone give me any ideas on how to approach this? I'd like to know what the process is called (e.g. taking, etc) in order to be able to search it properly in the forums. I think my biggest issue is how to actually make a wall like structure where to lay plaster to seal the shower tray and door and then tile it.

I'm thinking of going to a DIY store and ask someone there showing him/her the pictures... is that a good idea? Which one would you recommend? B&Q?

Thank for your attention
