Tilling directly onto wedi / concrete type board or plaster?

Hi,

I'm about to redo my bathroom. I've been putting insulation backed plaster board in other rooms as I go as the old house has solid walls. I thought I'd use the wedi board type in the bathroom due to the moisture.

My question really is, should I skim it or can I tile right over it? I don't mind doing both, but if the skimming is pointless, I'll skip it as the surface of the wedi board should be fine to tile onto?
