Hi all,
In the process of restoring windows, usefully each one is a bit different! (Casement sash, hinged opening and tilt!)
The one i've got a query about is the tilt. At somepoint in its life it started out as a sash and has been converted into a tilt. (by passing the ropes and weights - now was a plastic jamb with tilt latches at the top and locks at the bottom)
Query is, the tilt latch at the tops have broken. Most of the replacements seem to use a triangular piece which sits in the jamb, rather than the U shaped clip I currently have, which would clip onto the steel bar also housed in the jamb.
Whats the difference? Is the triangular piece designed to be sued without the steel bar? Struggling to find any from the UK that have a U shaped clip.
Help appreciated
Ben
