In brief, I wish to build a wood framed extension cladded externally. Two of the elevalions are of brick; in other words the extension will be in a corner (if that makes sense). My intention was to construct the frame from 4 x 2, weatherboard externally and plasterboard internally.
My questions are...
1. Do i need a membrane either behind the weatherboard or plasterboard or both.
2. do I insulate with celotex or rockwool type insulation.
3. Do I need to install felt behind the weatherboard.
4. Can I batten, insulate then plasterboard direct onto the bricked elevations.
5. does the frame need to be treated against rot or fire prevention.
6. Where can I find building regs for the above.
Any help would be appreciated.
