Timber Frame extension Soleplate Fixing

Hi Guys,

For a timber frame extension, how do I fix the Soleplate to the concrete blocks through DPC? Do not want to compromise DPC to avoid damp problems.


Have seen similar posts, but they are quite old, perhaps the regulation have changed?

Use a mastic gun sealer or some bitumen based sealer around the holes and squidge some onto the threads.

Should I used R studs and some chemical bonding? Or just some masonry screws?

Screws will be OK, the weight will hold it down anyway.
