I'm tiling my chimney breast with these tiles, below.

Do I treat each wall (top, left, right, back) separately, starting from the middle, or do I follow the pattern at the corners and into the next wall?

As for cutting holes for spotlights, what's the best way? Should I lay the tiles out on floor/ scrap board of timber, as it will be (incl grout gaps etc) on the 'ceiling' and cut the hole In the tile before installing?

Or measure hole centres and then drill hole once done?

Cheers
