Hi,
I've just installed a new shower system with everything placed in the wall and plastered over. This joins to 22mm joints at the floor-board level which are exposed. I have tested, restested and tested again for leaks and there was nothing (monitored for 4 days!). Now that everything is plastered and can't be flexed or moved I have noticed a little bit of seepage from the corner of a brass T-joint near the floor-boards.
The leak is actually from a portion of the brass unit itself and not from one of the compression fittings. To remove it would be extremely difficult and time consuming for such a tiny amount of water (one little drop per 2-3 hours). So can I just attempt a simple silcon repair and forget about it? Or should I go through the hassle of removing it etc etc...?
Someone even mentioned that the chalk content in the water (it's the hot water pipe) will eventually fill tiny seepages like this one, is that right?
Oh it's being fed from a combi-boiler not a tank if that makes any difference.
Many thanks in advance.
