Hi, following on from previous thread about state of hot water plumbing causing problems... Replumbed that all now, fitted the shower, and now havinv to move radiator in the bathroom and connect up a downstairs toilet rad... However as seems usual in this house, nothing is that simple... Found the 22mm pipe from boiler gets as far as under the floor then the whole lot becomes 15mm, feeds, returns, and because this DIYer moved the boiler the did same as hot water. Cut the existing pipe, stuck a T in then connected boiler into that which was splitting the flow and causing a restriction. So rather than the pipes from the boiler being the main trunk pipes with rads branching off... The boiler feed pipe was feeding another pipe and made worse still by fact everything was 15mm

Anyway, replumbed that with 22mm feed and return, and rads branching off those pipes...except last rad, bathroom one which is being moved... I stuck a speedfit cap over the end of the open pipe temporarily so could get hot water and heating back for the night... And now I can't get it off again, the collar won't pull back..... Cutting pipe it isn't an option as there isn't enough pipe sticking out from the T to cut then join so would all need unsoldering. Unless I cut through the end cap itself.

Hi, thanks for reply.

Got it off and connected bathroom radiator up now, refilled it again after, and seem to have a tiny drip on a joint, didn't seem to be there yesterday, boiler held pressure overnight and didn't see a drip when it was running but there was a wet patch, so once that's sorted out all need to do is flush it, add the inhibitor, then refil for final time hopefully.

Thanks again.

How odd, had a look at the joint today, area underneath it was completely dry, no signs of leakage, run heating at 2 bar until hot for over 30 minutes and pressure increased to 2.5 bar but stil no signs of leakage and remained dry for rest of the day so must be fine, water maybe came from somewhere else. Will have to keep an eye on it,
