This made me laugh:

A director of the airline said they'd checked maintenance records & found nothing amiss.

Surely they should have checked that before it fell out of the sky?

What the hell was a TK doing in the air?? Also, the Bedford TK wasn't produced until 1967, not 1951 as you stated.

Well it will arrive tomorrow.

It departs tomorrow (March 1st) at 0755 Turkey time

and arrives 1040 Amsterdam time.

Nowt wrong with that. It is the same flight number every day.

dave

No wonder it crashed, check out the arrival time

I must be missing some thing, I don't see anything wrong with the arrival details in that link.

Arriving tomorrow at 10.40 am
Yeah but TK 1951 is the 'Flight Name'. Like a Bus has a number which dictates its route. Flight TK 1951 will have a different arrival time for each of its departures.

It is not a route number, it is a flight number. If they have a second flight a day on that route it will be numbered TK1953 or something like that.

All the BA shuttles from Manchester to Heathrow fly on the same route but all have different flight numbers.
Sunday's Shuttles
BA1387 MAN LHR 01 MAR 08:20 01 MAR 08:20 Estimated
BA1391 MAN LHR 01 MAR 11:15 01 MAR 11:15 Estimated
BA1399 MAN LHR 01 MAR 15:40 01 MAR 15:40 Estimated
BA1405 MAN LHR 01 MAR 18:45 01 MAR 18:45 Estimated

Not quite ATC but I must admit I cheated a little.
