still got seat on the sidelines for now, building up a thicker skin as we speak... maybe its a woman thing (dont shoot me down feminists..) but it seems you lot ( generally) say whatever and get over it... I tend to find that often women pay too much attention to how other people might feel about any comments made. (yes, I know women post here)Think it may be refreshing to be able to speak out!!! ( just dont know yet if Im ready to take the retorts without cowering in heap!!! but maybe I have more balls than I thought!! ( oh dear... no Im not a layydeee... have read the dolly sheep stuff!!) there are no suprises beneath my skirts!!! ( and thats as blue as I get!! and no no, Im not a boring old fart!

i think I might be banned but here goes... lets drop the old fart stuff ( I know I said it first)reason; Im thinking of the thread..
first memories..
and thought of combining it with most embarrassing first memories.
(it was the mention of ' old fart' that did it!)
my family used to own a shop with a newsagents combined.
long counter with shelves under neath with folks papers stacked there. So... customers would come in and my nana who just would not retire..would walk full length of this counter and would.. well..' pump' ( yes scoff you sods!!) ok .. fart!! with each step she took. She would then stamp the floor boards exclaiming how creaky the floor boards were !! and the customers would just nod their heads ( yes, we know what they were thinking!!) and I was mortified!!!
did I hijack my own thread there?
anyway... Im in the water now. frantically treading water but have let some air out of arm bands so reckon its a start!!

sorry toffee......it's me. I'm from the states. My humor is what keeps me in the doghouse. I forget my manners from time to time. I could use the company (female, too)

hi.. I dont mind humour.. just I think that I sometimes miss it.. i once read ( and wish I could find it to post here) a passage that was supposedly a text message to someone. it then gave 7 totally different takes on the same text message, depending on how the reader interpreted it. so, I think sometimes that we firs off emails and whilst we know how it is meant.. it may come accross as totally different to the reader.
anyway ( at the risk of sounding paranoid.. what was it about regular that got you? im not being awkward.. Im trying to guage the humour.. offense gere. Also.. the differences in 'translation'!! crikey.. I feel like Im treading on mines here... best intentions and all that but maybe getting it all wrong..

I know (believe me I know). I didn't start out so well either and to make matters worse, me being from the US, it's harder...I don't know the slang...but getting better (slowly) and to make matters worse, someone (I won't mention who) believed or at least hinted that it was believed that I was under age.....for the record in case you missed my ip s/w/f/50. But, take some advice that I was given....get a thick skin. And you might want to not follow my exampleI just have a big mouth.
