I’m building a toilet & shower block in my farm/ livery yard for guests. Inside the roof is vaulted and I’m cladding the walls and ceilings with timber. I’ve had a rubber roof put On 18mm OSB (not 100% competed yet) and I’ve been putting mineral wool in between rafters before I put a layer of vapour barrier on and then timber over the top. I’ve just noticed moisture gathering on the face of the insulation because the rubber roof is very hot in the sun. My roofer said this construction was okay and classed as a warm roof but I’m nervous to put the vapour barrier on. If I do will the insulation get wet or will the vapour barrier prevent the airflow and cool air contact with the insulation so the dew point will move inside the vapour barrier? I haven’t got any doors on the toilet block yet so not water tight yet.
