When trying to connect a new toilet to the soil pipe connection it appears that the toilet is lower than the loutlet. I have tried fitting a flexible hose but this does not work as every time you flush the water drips out and floods the bathroom. Itg has been suggested I fit a plinth. We are only talking about 15mm difference at most. An offset joint does not work eithere as it is not long enough to join up to soil pipe outlet. Suggestions welcome please,

Often, 'horizontal' soil pipes actually slope downward and you may be able to cut it off closer to the wall, which would bring the opening lower relative to the floor. If the pipe is asbestos cement you'd have to wear appropriate breathing protection.
You may be able to get away with an offset adaptor plus a finned extender. This would be less than ideal, and you'd have to see if you had any blockage problems in practice.
Other than that it would be a plinth or raise the entire floor slightly, or buy a loo with a higher outlet.
