Hi, tomorrow I'm going to replace my faulty toilet fill valve as my current one is faulty. My issue is looking at the cooper pipe which connects to my existing valve. I'm worried when I swap it out, will the new valve connect efficiency to the cooper pipe? I'm no plumbing expert but do you think this was initially installed correctly? I've got a feeling when I fasten the nut I'll have trouble getting it to reseal.

I've attached a photo. Sorry for the stage of the toilet, it's getting a good clean tomorrow

The threads on the replacement are likely to be plastic and shorter than what’s there, either remove the pipe above the isolation valve and fit a new piece to match any size differences or replace with a short combined iso valve and flexi ( easier to diy) but means isolation of water supply elsewhere to replace the current .
Push fit quick and easy but requires the copper cleaned back till it shines.

Thanks, my replacement valve is cooper and will fit to the existing cooper pipe. For that reason do you think I could just swap it as is?
