Toilet Flush unit - short flush only

I have a 3 year old back flush toilet unit - in a slim cupboard

the unit has a push button witch you can choose a small flush or a long flush - the button has a small projection which you hold in

recently the full flash has just been doing a very very short flush and you have to hold the button in to make it a long flush

looking at the flush unit, i was not sure if there are any adjustments i can make

I fitted the unit 3 years ago from MFI

Push the button in and let go will give you a short flush.
Push the button in and hold will give you a full flush. Thats how these new cisterns have been made, welcome to the new green world.

never used to be like that - only changed recently - push the main button and it used to flush longer even when i let go - i'm sure

so is my wife - who has been complaining about it for the last few months

it has another stick out bit you also push in for the short flush
