Need to change toilet flush valve but I can’t find the same one in any merchants. Can I just unscrew it from inside the cistern and replace with a different type ? I’ll include the pictures.

No Ricky, the cistern needs to be removed, unless you’re getting the same flush valve. Is there a make/model of toilet?

No there isn’t a make and model. I can’t find the same flush valve. That’s why I was wandering if I could just use a different model

Yes you can, but the cistern will need to be removed to do so.

Is there any sort of repair that can be done to the old one ? It’s constantly passing down the bowl as it’s filling

Sounds like it’s the seal damaged, worn or debris stopping it seating. If you clean the top of the valve, there appears to be a logo?
