Hi,
We have a button press toilet flusher but even after considerable time (and when the water level is up), the button doesn't pop up again.
If manually pulled up, all flushes ok.
Any ideas folks?
Is this something that is usually adjustable?
NB:The actual cistern unit with the button is not that old and has previously worked fine.
Many thanks in advance.

Replace it..Heap of plastic junk made in China for 5p..

Sounds as if something is preventing the button from rising:

1. If its a wire control type, could be caught under the cistern lid or on part of the mechanism.
2. If its a pneumatic tube type the tube might be crushed, again perhaps the cistern lid.
3. If its the rod through the top type, one or other of the rods may be damaged.

Take the top off the cistern, and try and see what type of flush it is, and whether there are any obstructions. If this doesn't show you the solution, come back with some photographs and we might be able to give you a better idea.

Hey!!! I'm one of the good ones!
Not all landlords are bad just as all plumbers aren't good. They actually asked me to pop round next week. I offered to come round straight away tonight.....
