Hello!

Hope someone can help me here.

We have been through about 3 toilet handles in the last year or so. I don't know what the problem is. The chrome rod inside that connects the handle to the inner workings keeps snapping. The actual rod seems to gradually 'twist' before it snaps. Here's a picture of the current one which is about to go:

You can see the chrome rod has already twisted and looks close to breaking. When I first fit the handles, the toilet flushes lovely. Then, gradually, the inner chrome rod begins to twist and the actual handle gets lower and lower.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks :D

never seen that particular problem before, you say it's "chrome" - do u mean chrome coated plastic or brass? A brass one shouldn't bend like that...

Also, as a maintenance plumber who regularly fixes toilets, can I just say your 2 part dudley turbo 88 syphon makes me moist.

Hands off my dudley! She's mine :D

Yeah, it's just coated plastic. But surely it still shouldn't do this?
