Hi guys, hope you can help...
Toilet has not been flushing properly for the last week so I`m going to strip the cistern and have a butchers but suspect it`s the syphon which needs replacing and while I`m at it I want to replace the ball float valve with a torbeck as I`ve heard these are a lot quieter.
Just wondering if there might be any problems fitting a torbeck and a flapper valve due to the handle being mounted on the side of the cistern (water inlet for torbeck is bottom entry and on the same side as the handle)
Or would I be better off stripping out the old valve, syphon and sealing washer between cistern and pan (close coupled) and going to local merchants to see what they say?
TIA
Phil
