I am replacing a toilet pan that is fixed to a rigid soil pipe, with a new pan that will go flush to the rear wall of a cloakroom with a boxed in cystern. If I use a Mc Alpine flexible connector to enable me to fix the new loo to the old plastic soil pipe and then push the pan back, can I just saw the old plastic soil pipe at any point and then just push the new connector into the sawn off hole of the plastic soil pipe?

aslo, how will I fix the plastic water feed pipe to the new pan? do I need a flexible connector for this too?

Thanks in anticipation of any ace DIYer out there with the answers.

yes...cut the existing soil pipe to suit.

the water feed for the cistern..normally bottom feed now... just needs a flexi tap connector to 15mm..consider an isolator or if ur posh (or flush with money) buy an integral flexi and isolator..

(try the waste connection for water tightness with some water from a bucket...that way its easlier to pull out and recheck if need be)
