Toilet seat fixing removal

Hi how do we remove these toilet fixings . Unable to get screwdriver under flat plate. When you remove the white head there is a metal screw that goes round & round bottom plate does not move.
Many Thanks for any advice as we really need a new toilet seat !

Are there not some nuts underneath to unscrew?

They are hidden fixings unable to get underneath

Do those chrome caps prise up and rotate to reveal a screw?

Try a sharp knife or Stanley blade.

Can’t quite tell from the photo but on one of ours, there are grub screws holding the hinges on. Remove the screws and the hinge and seat comes off leaving a post. An Allen key fits in the post to loosen a butterfly fixing inside the porcelain which allows you to remove it. Don’t undo it too much though as the butterfly can fall off and you'll have to remove the whole thing to retrieve it.
