I am doing my own bathroom and have replumbed all the pipes and covered them with plasterboard and tiled.

Was feeling pretty smug until I realised that bringing out the wall by 2 inches will give me problems when fitting the toilet cistern as the waste pipe is now a bit too close to the wall

As you see in the pic, it is a bit tight. Any ideas apart from turning the toilet round onto the adjacent wall? View media item 3235

can you not get 110mm white soil pipe.
and fit a 110mm coupler, section of pipe, 90 degree socket and spigot bend, and straight pan connector in to the spigot of the bend.

Hi Seco

At the moment I am using one of these pan connectors which fits in vertically and then onto my CC toilet.

HI.

The problem will be that the soil pipe is now too close to the wall in order to be able to fit a close coupled toilet onto it. I can't see how to do it as I have brought the wall forward and I just know the cistern will not sit right. :(

right so your saying if the cistern/pan is in place and the pan connector is in it won't reach the pan flange ?

Yes. I believe the pan connector (on the toilet) will be maybe 3 inches away when the top cistern is in situ :( .

Hi bahco,

How about this...

Doesn't sit as far back as a normal 90 Degree bend so it allows for the wall being tiled now. Available here:

Should do the trick I think ;)

You learn something new every day.

Will look into that one.

Thanks to both of you for your help. :D

saved me on many occasions, dont grease the pan connection up though as they just pop off. Just grease the soil end

I've PM'd you with a question Bahco. I'd be grateful of any help. Thanks.
