GRC - Indeed. I have fond memories of the good old early days of the Friday Rock Show; unlike today, they were perfectly happy to let a two hour show consist of one concert recording by one band (Yes). Try that today, and you'll get a radio call-sign every 15 minutes, advertising promos for next week's programmes every half hour, and news bulletins every hour. Anything but music.

RIP Tommy. I still have the tapes.
