hi all,

got tongue and groove floorboards upstairs which the plumbers made a real mess of when installing my heating.

Anyway, Ive got the carpet coming soon (felt backed with underlay seperate) and I dont want any of these gaps etc ruining the appearance.

the underlay is of a half decent quility. At what size will gaps generally make themselves shown through the carpet?

It would be more the height differences between the floorboards that will show up through and damage in the longrun your carpet.
