Too much polish on cast iron fireplace?

Hi
I wonder could I ask some advice please.
I gave used Zebracier on this cast iron fireplace and I think I put too much on.
It has dried in now and is not buffing off with a cloth.
Can anyone advise me how to remove it and just take it back to a nice gleam?

Meths will remove it. 0000 wire wool will also remove it.

I did the same once applying too much. Don't know how it was fixed but that's how I'd do it now
