Might sound like a silly question, but does anyone know of a tool that can potentially send some sort of wave and measure that on the other side to accurately determine where a drilled hole will come out of? I know measuring works but in some cases measuring is very awkward so a tool that does this would really come in handy. Not seen such a tool but checking to see if anyone else has?

Thanks

Just drill a small test hole and fill and decorate when no longer needed.

Expensive but cool.

Would be wayyy more cool if it would let you drill at an angle and let you determine where the hole will exit.

I have had jobs in the past where I had to drill through a 9 inch wall and make the exit hole come out at 45+ degrees lower than the exit hole. I would love to see a tool that does that.

It says it does that too.. I'd like to know how it works?

True, but that means using trigonometry, which many may not be familiar with.
plenty of triangle calculator apps available these days for android and apple

a must for carpenters

I use one quite often
