What kind of saw/blade should I use when trimming a plastic bath panel to size. I need to trim about 10mm off its length to compensate for the floor tiles.
Use a coping saw with the blade at 90 degrees, cover the area to be cut with masking tape (which you draw the line on) and use the saw at a sloping back angle so as many teeth contact the plastic as possible.
Go easy with it!

Finding a way of supporting the panel close to your cut , and some way of clamping it down is more of a challenge than the cutting.
I use a piece of timber cut to 'inside' the panel close to the cut line to support the edge.
It usually ends up as one of those jobs where you wish you could grow an extra three arms to hang onto everything that needs holding down without marking the panel.
My weapon of choice for cutting is a fine toothed (32 TPI) hacksaw blade, again set at right angles in the frame, again keeping the saw at a shallow angle.
