depends on size of your floor?
screws on subfloor should be every 6 inches , also check original flooring as now is the time to fix any squeaks.
as to the gun, I used many times ( a Millwakie) they save both time and back.
Caution if you miss a stud remove screw don't leave it in , it will work loose.

Bit much, 200mm or 8" is fine for 12mm ply.
