I'm pricing up some plastic pipe & fittings for my kitchen and pushfit is about £50, whereas JG Speedfit is twice the price, at over £100. Is it worth it?

Neither IMHO.

Out of the two JG.

I much prefer Tectite Classic

But it more expensive still. But there is a reason.

That being said; I have some JG stuff at home I had to fit due to last minute crisis'. It was OK but looks really amateur.

Always convert to copper for the final connection or anything visible.

Hmpf. I might just stick to all copper.

Edit:

Everything is going to be behind kitchen units, so nothing on view. The cold supply entering the kitchen is plastic (installed by plumber), so I was thinking of continuing with its use (DIY) around the kitchen for washing machine, sink and dishwasher.

I also need to run a length under the floor to the under-stairs for a new toilet. I thought one length of plastic pipe would be preferable to trying to use copper and having to bend (I have no bender) or use joints.
