total amatuer needs help

having never laid parquet before i need help big time!!have got a concrete floor painted red on which to lay them.does the floor need prepping?what adhesive would be then recommended?be warned-by answering i fear you will unleash a flood of similarly inane questions!what can i say?

What kind of paint? does it come loose?
What kind of parquet are you installing: blokcs, boards, mosaic?
