My daughter needs some Dulux paint for interior decoration and can't get from usual supplier so I asked my local supplier who only do Dulux trade which they mix themselves but the price is very much more expensive. They say it is also very much better. Is it worth the difference and why was the matt and satinwood the same price from her usual retailer but the satinwood v. much more expensive than the matt from my local shop, do you suppose?

You mean you're having it colour-mixed to order, right? and it's paint for woodwork, not walls and ceilings?

You might find you can get the cheaper DIY range at B&Q.

How much is she buying, and what colour?

B and M bargains stock a range of Dulux as well as Johnstone all at very reasonable prices. Don’t know if you have one of them near you. Hope this helps.

I think it's both, but my question was whether it's worth paying extra for the trade version; they say it's much better quality but is it?

No, is the answer to that question. Trade Dulex offer a fantastic range of professional products much more than a discount store but essentially the product in discount stores is very good quality just not the professional backup.
