Hi;

Same kitchen, still hard at it.

In my kitchen build I have several areas of exposed chipboard.
The lad who fitted the sink and worktops covered the exposed areas around the worktop edges and bits of the cabinets that he cut away for the plumbing with clear sealant. So I am relatively happy with that.
However, I have a couple of exposed chipboard areas E.G. filler pieces between cabinets and cut edges of plinths and I was wondering that to prevent against damp ingress etc should o treat them, if so with what?

PVA / Water mix? - Cheapest.
Oil??
Varnish??
Paint??

Thanks

Personally I'd get a tube of sealant (cheap sanitary will do) either clear or white if the cupboards are, and smear some of this on with your finger.

Thanks;

Iv'e got some translucent sealant so I'll use that.

Nearly finished the damm kitchen, its taken me all this week to cut the skirting boards and plinths, boy I'm slow!!!
