treating roof trusses

do roof trusses such as Donaldsons come pre treated?

If not do you have to treat them before you lay the felt?

No need to treat roof trusses, timber need ventilation eg soffit vents etc

the vast majority of truss manufacturers will supply all there trusses treated but as the previous response stated if there adequate venitlation then treatment aint needed! its an extra charge donaldsons factor in that aint needed !

those conditons for woodworm are not ideal for well vented roofs

House longhorn love trusses thas why it is compulsory to pretreat all timbers in parts of south east uk.

i work in a truss office it costs a about an 8th of a the base timber cost

is if the timbers £200/m3 treatment is £25/m3 in the cost of a truss standard 8m 30 degree thats about £2.25 - peanuts !
