Treating warped wood?

Hi

I've just bought a bookcase with 2 doors (approx 12" x 12") fitted at the bottom. I got it for a fraction of the original cost, all because one of the doors is slightly warped, so won't close flush.

I was wondering if there is a method for treating this condition? I'm not sure of what type of wood it is (think it's oak), but it is quite solid.

you will probably have to live with the movement although because its one door you could fit a bolt to hold it in check

use a necked bolt if the door is surface mounted

it is possible the movement is heat /moisture related and may get better but more likely worse

yes. If it's not an antique, burn it!
