Wanted to inform people about Trent valley fascias. Do not use this company.We want to make people aware of the really poor service to have received from Trent valley fascias based in Nottingham. Originally came to replace our old concrete guttering back in November 2016 with new plastic guttering as we were experiencing a lot of damp in both front and back bedrooms. We experienced 3 leaks following this work the company blamed the seals. We were not advised correctly about drainage as we are the middle house of 4 terraced houses with our neighbours having a extension. The length of the guttering was having to flow the length of 3 houses and with no down pipe in between this wasn't flowing and water was left sitting in the guttering. We made them aware of this but told us it would be fine. it is virtually impossible to get the company to call you back on lots of occasions I spoke to receptionist but never got calls back, we wrote letters with no acknowledgement. The boss only seems to text even then accuses us of lying about facts to do with down pipe saying they advised about a down pipe that could go onto our conservatory it was explained at the time this would not work as we only had a water butt to cope with the rain fall. we have kept all correspondence and have printed copies. This company have caused us nothing but stress and hassle and a year on we are waiting for a extra piece of guttering to go onto our neighbours extension to drain the water away, on several occasions they agreed to do this but then never get back to us or failed to set a firm date to complete the work. Another leak we had 6 months after they completed the work they said they would come out and look at but they failed to even turn up despite a letter saying if it was no fault of theirs we would be charged a £100 call out charge. We ended up sealing this ourselves. Do not use this company the workman ship is poor and they are very unreliable the customer service is appalling.

Even if a customer offered to pay triple for us to cut off conc gutters in a mid terrace we still say no. Either everyone has to have it done or it's not worth doing.

It seems this company is still trying to pass off their ineptitude on to others. Neighbour had her gutters replaced by TVG and they consequently starting leaking. The company blamed us/our gutters for the problems rather than trying to resolve their mistakes themselves. I would not touch this company with a barge pole

I wouldn't touch a mid terrace with concrete gutters with a bargepole either.

DO NOT USE TRENT VALLEY FACIAS. These start out as a great company and we were impressed with their initial contact, price, promises and the original removal of our concrete guttering and installation of new guttering. However they are totally DIRE when there is a problem. Our guttering sprung a leak ....several calls later, they promise a visit within 2 weeks, they turn up unannounced and get cross that we cannot leave our work to give them access. They claim they could see the problem and would correct it - meaning they saw a fault at the front of the house, not at the back as reported! Numerous telephone calls later and following me quoting them trading standards/consumer legislation, we had 3 further visits by friendly workmen who all blamed the previous worker and claimed they had fixed it. They hadn't..... On speaking with the owner Jan, we were met with rudeness, sarcasm and excuses. We remained polite and courteous but the same could not be said for Jan. On one occasion he shouted down the phone at my husband as he said he didn't have time to deal with complaints. His secretary was always polite but she could not answer for him. A total farce and we now have damp walls and damaged decorations and it has also impacted on our neighbours who have been most understanding.
