Please may I have some advice re which pumped shower to go for?
Currently trying to choose between the Trevi therm with a Stuart Turner pump(very ugly says my plumber!) or an Aqualisa Aquavalve thermo 700 with the pump that's in their brochure. Sorry can't remember name. I need a strong shower for my neck problems so will go for a Turbo type showerhead. Should I be considering a digital shower? How reliable are they. Somehow I feel more comfortable with the robust quality of the 'old fashioned' type I'm considering.

Any help and comments appreciated

Thanks

We had an Aqualisa fitted about 6 years ago. Simple controls. Push for on. Dial for temperature. Below the on/off is Boost. That simply blasts you against the shower wall, (great for your neck! ) so never use it. The pumped normal pressure is quite enough. Simple Plumbing too. Without going up into the loft, can't remember make, but two pipes in (H&C) and one pipe out into riser rail. Very pleased. Hope this helps.

I disagree and suggest that the Trevi Therm is the better valve. Better, Bigger inlets- 3/4" Female irons, instead of 15mm bent push fits on most Aqualisa's. Brass bodied on the Therm compared to Aqualisa being a Plastic valve. If you do go for the Aqualisa you will be gobsmacked how light it is after spending £xxx ++ on it

Personally I would go for a Hansgrohe Ibox, they knock the socks off most other valves available.

Pressure wise the therm and a S.T pump will be fantastic, especially if it is all run directly to the valve in 22mm pipe. If you don't like the therm then there are other, more stylish valves made by Trevi, the Outline is just one example.

A digital shower is OK and perfectly good pressure for most people, including myself. I've done a few...Quartz, Axis, Grotherm wireless, Magma etc..........none are anywhere near as good as 'seperates' though

Thanks for the comments. Food for thought certainly. Part of me wants to go for the solid Trevi/ST combo but part is hankering after an up to date digital with all the gizmos for our brand new bathroom! Seems to me, just as long as you don't get a Friday night one the Aqualisa Digital Quartz ones are great, although worryingly lightweight. Googling "problems with" brings up more probs with the Aqualisa. I may have to go for good old fashioned reliability.....

I have fitted multiple and have 2 x Grohtherm wireless showers in my own house, one is supplying a Bath and the other a shower.

These showers beat anything that Aqualisa make by a long way. They have three family buttons to store not only each members temp but pressure also. They have many features, probably 30 or so that can be pre set, a very complicated shower if you want it to be or simply press the on button and adjust the pressure and temp manually for an easy to use shower.

That is my recommendation anyway, I still haven't fitted anything better but for some reason (probably marketing) the showers haven't sold very well.

Will probably go for the Trevi/ST combo even though they are ugly! My plumber probably thinks I'm ugly too!

Thanks for all help
