I used it on my loft conversion and although it is expensive it saved me having to build the rafter depth lower because it is much thinner but still the same qualities as much thicker products so in the long run it worked out cheaper for me. Use a large pair of scissors to cut it easier and a large stapler to fix it but don't screw into it because it will wrap around the thread and drag and tear.

Do as Dabs says & you shouldn't go far wrong. Make sure you counter batten before plasterboarding so that the layers don't get squashed. Much quicker than building out the rafters & cutting celotex/kingspan to fit between

Also make sure your local BCO is happy with you using it, some don't like it :(

heres one I did earlier

I don't want to alarm you Jason but Your loft conversion looks like i settled - by 2 storeys!!! Isn't that trellising outside the window?

Seriouly I thought Tri-Iso was only good for loft conversions but not new roofs.

Mr W

It's a single story "lean to" roof on an old Victorian Villa. The old ceiling was only 7ft so I opened it up to the rafters to get a better feeling of space.

before & after here
