Trianco combi oil boiler fault

I have a Trianco eurostar 90 combi boiler with a fault;
1. From stone cold works first time every time.
2. Will not fire up boiler when radiators are cool, fan/flue is running but boiler fails to come on.

I changed boiler stats but no change in symptoms, any pointers on what to do next very much appreciated. Desperate for some ideas.

Is the burner lock out lamp on?
If its not, you are looking at timer or thermostat issues really - both within the house and within the boiler casing itself. The burner isn't getting the 'calling for heat' command, it seems.

Thanks John,

the burner lockout light is not on, how would I test/overide the timer?

Strange that the flue/fan is running as if it should be firing up.
I agree that thermostats seemed the obvious problem and I have swapped them for new ones and the problem still appears.

Is new time clock best option? to test

Appreciate the help I'm on a small Island in the west coast of scotland and quickly running out of ideas as I will need to get this sorted for next winter or ne boiler beckons.

Not strange if you havea Riello burner. Change the photocell
