Hello experts.Happy new year to you all.
I have a Tro 37/45 oil boiler running from new for seven years.
I recently have had to reset the cutout switch on the front after it had been on for a while.Watching more closely I have discovered that it cuts out as it trys to fire up again, having been on and still quite hot.It sounds like the blower fan is stalling. It will not reset until it has cooled down for a while and then after heating everything up again it cuts out.
Any ideas please ?

It sounds as if its overheating.

I suppose I would have to confirm the power input is correct first.

I would then be looking at the pump operation and doing a thermal survey to identify flow rates.

I would change the oil pump solenoid, if it has a Danfoss pump. If you have a meter you can check the resistance just after it locks out. If it has a Riello burner this won't help.

I am new to this so you may be better to get more experienced replies.
However you could try the following - take off the fan guard off and gently turn the fan to check for a sticky point - this can then simply be a worn coupling between the oil pump and motor.
