Tricity Bendix dishwasher slimline CDW086 Model

I have had numerous problems with this dishwasher mainly with keeping the pipework clean. The 5 year waranty has now expired and another problem has cropped up. The timer appears to get stuck in the same position where the water comes in from the supply and goes straight through the pump and down the drain. If you tweak the timer slightly it will continue again but then stops further through the cycle. I've checked all pipework filters and pumps etc. The smaller pump is fairly noisy and appears to be worn - but is still functioning. I am prepared to trash the washer as it is about 6 years old now. I just want to be sure that there isn't a silly problem lurking in there that can easily be fixed. I don't want to spend money on it if its days are numbered.

Has anyone got any suggestions (Constructive one's)
