After buying a 12 year old house a while back, I am doing a deep clean of the shower...
There is a clear trim on the OUTSIDE which is purely cosmetic and offers little value than plugging a slot in the extrusion which has gone hard and yellow and I would like to replace it.
Problem is I can't get it out without breaking it.
Luckily there is a 2nd identical shower in the bathroom so I am able to get the original trim out, and its basically a T-Shaped extrusion.
The slot it needs to fill is 6mm, and the original is 6.5mm.. The top is 11 wide... It doesn't need to be exactly the same.. Its just cosmetic.
Does anyone know what this type of "trim" is called and where I might get something similar.
I have a 3rd shower which has a similar trim, buts its silicone, wider and has a square section..
If I can't find a replacement, my other idea was to fill it with silicone sealant and flatten it whilst wet to fill the channel.
Anyone got any thoughts?
