Hi all,

Untitled1.png Untitled2.png

We have had this unsightly mess under our PVC door since moving into our home many years ago - I don't even know what was used (caulk?)
We've not got a clue what to replace it with, or if there is a better way to do this - perhaps a trim of sorts, to transition between the door and the floor. Any suggestions please?

Disclaimer: we don't know what we're doing DIY-wise.

Thanks in advance for your help.

A bit of upvc Quadrant would work ( or wood if you so wish) . Somewhere like eurocell will sell the quadrant or a local window installer might.
Just scrape off old mess as much as possible with sturdy paint scraper , cut your quadrant to length ( entire door and side panel ) , test fit to see if it fits snugly and covers the unsightly joint...remove again....run a bead of clear silicone over the joint between floor and upvc .. refit quadrant over the silicone , which should hold the quadrant in place... that's certainly what I'd do
