Hope someone can help . Our shower is only 2 years old but it has suddenly started getting hotter when on the low numbers. It is Luke warm on 9 if you turn it to number 1 it gets hotter and 5 is roasting. Any ideas
The temperature is controlled by increasing or decreasing the flow of water through the shower. Maybe the knob has slipped on its spindle, so that it is pointing at the wrong numbers. Turning the knob clockwise should slow the water flow, making it hotter, anticlockwise will increase the water flow making it cooler.
It's easy to test. Turn the dial fully clockwise until it stops. It should be pointing to 10. Turn it fully anticlockwise and it should point at 1. if it's pointing to other numbers the knob has probably slipped. You may be able to remove the cover and re-position it if it has.
You say the shower is two years old. How precise is that? I mention it because Triton showers have a 2 year guarantee.
