I've had a Triton (AS2000 SR) power shower replacement done by a plumber yesterday. Last night I was trying to problem solve why the pump wasn't working, so took off the cover to find the commissioning switch in wrong position.

I'm no plumber, but I think there's 3 issues with the installation. Pipe work isn't filled at wall, so water can get into the wall. Silicone was used around the outer case, though the manufacturer says don't use it (the outer case is flimsy and silicone is no guarantee it won't stop water). And the unit is positioned under the spray of the shower head (the previous old Triton was in the same position but was well siliconed)

What are the options?

For sure, a bit of a tricky one......these showers have a rating which means that they remain watertight when sprayed from any angle, hence more silicone isn't needed.
However, your pipes and cable are well exposed and they need to be sealed up....water in there is a big no-no.
I confess......my Grohe Tempesta unit had similar issues, so I sealed it on the top and sides.......about 20mm in from the edge, but left it open at the bottom.
No issues whatsoever, just make sure that the shower casing isn't distorted at all when fixing it.
That's only my opinion.....just hold on a bit until others come in.
John :)
