The shower that was in the house when we bought it is leaking water where the cartridge (4) meets the "stabilizer valve assembly" (7)
The circuit is only rated to 32a so its a limp shower to say the least, but in 3 months we are planning on doing the bathroom anyway and so will get either a pumped shower or a nice 10mm cable run from the CU so i'd rather not go buying acrappy 7.5kw shower now only to buy a much better one in 3 months. In the meantime, is there any way i can stop this leak? The part i need is apparently obsolete (82400050) and it just looks like its not making a proper seal against the stabiliser valve assy. Both parts feel like plastic with no kind of o-ring in sight and so water just ****es out inside the unit.
What does the cartridge do? why does it have a spring on it?
