Triton Topaz t100si won't heat above 40'c

Hi,

Our shower seems to be struggling to heat water, especially now as the temperature outside is dropping. It will only heat to about 40'c max.

Is there some kind of heating element inside which needs to be replaced?
It's a Triton Topaz t100si

Had though about it, we have a 10.5 kw one and they seem quite expensive (around 250).
Is it possible to replace it with a cheaper 8.5 kw shower without replacing any of the electrics ?

Yeah, go online and google Shower Doctor, if youve got a 10.8 now, then your wiring will be ok for a lesser KW
