My radiator has been making popping & crackling noises for the past few days, so this afternoon I got around to bleeding it. I realised afterwards that I had to top up my system's pressure, and after looking up how I attached the filling loop, opened the two valves above the fittings on either end & I have no water flow whatsoever. What's more, my boiler has now completely depressurised. Along with the 2 blue taps above the sockets for the filling loop, there is a red tap on the side of the pressure guage - I tried opening this at the same time as the two blue taps when it didn't work at first, but to no avail.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Is there likely to be another tap somewhere that I'm supposed to turn on?

Check that the filling loop is attached the correct way round as they have check valves in them. An arrow shows direction of flow.

The isolation valve at the side of the pressure guage should be inline with the heating flow pipe.

What? You remove the check valve..... you flood the house (if the system is pressurised). The loop fills. Thats all.
Look up FAQ's, and ignore andy's advice.
