Trump stunned the G7 by saying he wants a tarrif free trading zone with all the G7 countries, no tarrifs, no subsidies ,just free trade.
Trump has a dozen new ideas every day but he doesn't seem to know which ones are any good, this one could solve the UK's problems with the EU after brexit or it could be a disaster with a race to the bottom with all these G7 countries trying to undercut each other.

The issue is regulations. You can have zero tariffs but who going to eat chlorinated chicken? The reason they chlroniate the chicken is that they have such poor animal welfare.

Free markets if they ever worked like that would mean why have any regulations? It assume people are rational - which we know they are not.

Also once we start chipping away at lower food standards we will end up with third world standards which So many Dumbo's hate but want to take our country to.
